Jamie Miller | Ernst & Young
Ernst & Young hired Jamie Miller as its global chief financial officer and to eventually lead the finances of its consulting arm, which the accounting firm is spinning off. Miller joins the firm from agricultural company Cargill, where she became the company's first female CFO in June 2021. Before joining Cargill, she worked at General Electric for 12 years in several leadership roles, most recently as CFO.
Joanne Knight | Cargill
Joanne Knight will become Cargill's acting CFO when Jamie Miller steps down. Knight is currently vice president of finance for its agriculture supply chain enterprise. Before Cargill, she spent 10 years in finance, marketing, and business leadership roles at General Mills and also held finance leadership roles at Wachovia.
Molly Beerman | Alcoa
Molly Beerman was promoted to CFO of aluminum producer Alcoa amid an executive reshuffle. Beerman, who is currently senior vice president and controller, will also oversee its information technology and automation solutions team. She rejoined Alcoa in 2016 as director of global shared services strategy and solutions after working at The Pittsburgh Foundation for two years as vice president of finance and administration. Before that, Beerman worked at Alcoa for 11 years in various leadership roles.
Natalie Knight | Ahold Delhaize
Grocery conglomerate Ahold Delhaize is looking for a new finance chief after Natalie Knight put in her resignation to pursue a new job in the United States. Knight, who has been CFO of Zaandam, Netherlands-based Ahold since 2020, will leave the company in six months. Before joining Ahold, she spent four years as chief financial officer of Danish dairy supplier Arla Foods. Before that, Knight worked at Adidas for 17 years in several financial roles and helped lead the company’s acquisition of Reebok.
Leigh Burnside | Wendy’s
Leigh Burnside is stepping down as CFO of fast-food chain Wendy’s to become the finance chief of another restaurant company. Burnside is also the company’s chief accounting officer and senior vice president. She has worked at the company for 18 years in several leadership roles across finance and was named CFO in May 2022.
Jason Armstrong | Comcast
Comcast promoted Jason Armstrong to chief financial officer. Armstrong was most recently deputy CFO and treasurer and before that was chief financial officer at Sky, a Comcast subsidiary. Before joining Comcast in 2014, Armstrong spent 13 years at Goldman Sachs where he was managing director and leader of the firm’s cable and telecommunications research group. He succeeds Mike Cavanagh, who was named president of the company in October.
Michael McLaughlin | Informatica
Enterprise data management firm Informatica appointed Michael McLaughlin as its new CFO. McLaughlin joins the company from FICO, where he has been chief financial officer since August 2019. Before that, he spent 26 years in investment banking, most recently as managing director and head of technology corporate finance at Morgan Stanley. McLaughlin replaces Eric Brown, who is leaving the company after more than four years as CFO. Brown will remain a consultant to the company through March 2023.
Jean Hu | AMD
Jean Hu was named finance chief of semiconductor company AMD. Hu joins the company from semiconductor company Marvell, where she has been chief financial officer since 2016. She has more than 20 years of experience in financial leadership roles in the semiconductor industry, including as CFO of Qlogic and Conexant. Hu succeeds Devinder Kumar, who is retiring.
Shane Fitzsimons | AIG
AIG chief financial officer Shane Fitzsimons is taking a temporary medical leave of absence. Mark Lyons, who previously served as AIG’s CFO, has been appointed interim chief financial officer in addition to his role as executive vice president of global chief actuary and head of portfolio management. Fitzsimons joined AIG in 2019 as global head of shared services and took over as CFO one year ago.
