Alex Barsk | KFC Global
Alex Barsk was named finance chief of KFC Global, a Yum! Brand subsidiary fast-food restaurant chain, effective June 1. Barsk joins KFC from its sister brand Pizza Hut, where she was most recently global chief financial officer. She joined Pizza Hut in 2015 and has held leadership roles across strategy, finance, development, and supply chain. Before joining Yum! Brands, Barsk was an engagement manager at Strategy&, formerly Booz & Company. She also spent several years in London working at global investment advisory firm Cambridge Associates.
Anastasia Nyrkovskaya | Fortune Media
Fortune Media appointed Anastasia Nyrkovskaya as its new chief executive officer, becoming the first woman to lead the 95-year-old business media brand. For the last five years, she has been the company's chief financial and strategy officer. Before joining Fortune, she held CFO roles at beauty subscription company Birchbox and health and wellness service provider XpresSpa Group. Earlier, Nyrkovskaya held senior roles in finance and accounting at NBCUniversal, where she was part of the corporate strategy team responsible for M&A and oversaw accounting and due diligence on multiple major acquisitions including MSNBC.com, The Weather Channel, and the formation of Hulu. She succeeds Alan Murray, who has been CEO of Fortune since 2018.
Mala Murthy | Teladoc Health
Telemedicine and virtual healthcare company Teladoc Health appointed its CFO, Mala Murthy, as acting chief executive officer to replace outgoing CEO Jason Gorevic, who is stepping down after 15 years. Murthy will also continue her role as CFO during the transition period while the board of directors searches for Gorevic's permanent successor. Before joining Teladoc Health in 2019, she held several senior executive positions at American Express, most recently as CFO of the global commercial services segment. She previously held various leadership positions with PepsiCo, leading high-growth business units.
John Wagner | Brightcove
Streaming technology company Brightcove named John Wagner as chief financial officer. Most recently, Wagner was CFO of EverQuote, an online insurance marketplace, for nine years. While at EverQuote, he oversaw its initial public offering and led the finance organization for five years post-IPO. Before that, he was chief financial officer of database company NuoDB. He’s also held senior executive financial roles at several software companies, including Carbonite, Constant Contact and Salesnet.
David Perez | Rubix Foods
David Perez was named chief financial officer of Rubix Foods, a flavor and ingredient company. Perez was previously CFO and chief information officer of Red Collar Pet Foods. During his time at Red Collar, he oversaw the sale of its pet food manufacturing business to the Colgate-Palmolive Company in 2022, as well as the sale of its pet treats plant to Nestlé Purina PetCare in 2023. Before that, Perez was executive vice president and chief financial officer at SVP Worldwide, the world's largest manufacturing of consumer sewing machines under the Singer, Pfaff, Husqvarna and Viking brands. He replaces long-time CFO Bill Block, who has transitioned to a new role as chief support officer.
Ankur Dhingra | Illumina
Ankur Dhingra is joining genome sequencing company Illumina as finance chief, effective April 15. Dhingra was previously CFO of biopharmaceutical oncology company Summit Therapeutics and precision medicine solutions company CAREDx. He earlier spent more than 18 years at Agilent Technologies, most recently as vice president of investor relations. Before that, he held several finance leadership roles, including multiple business unit CFO roles. Dhingra replaces Joydeep Goswami, who is leaving the company. Goswami will stay with the company in an advisory role through June 30.
Tiago Azevedo | Rappi
Latin American delivery service Rappi hired Tiago Azevedo as CFO to ready the SoftBank-backed company for a future IPO. Oscar Herrera oversaw finance duties before Azevedo’s arrival, but Azevedo is the company’s first official CFO. Azevedo joins the company after working as chief financial officer for the Brazil divisions of MercadoLibre and The Hershey Company. He previously spent 13 years at consumer goods giant Unilever in several finance roles, including supply chain finance director for Latin America.
Scot Parnell | Current
Neobank Current has named Scot Parnell as its first CFO. The bank, which has no physical branches, was founded in 2015. Parnell previously served at Munich Re Life as finance chief, and before that, the fintech DailyPay. He has held a number of CFO roles over his career, which also included stints at TIAA and Crump Group. The bank is backed by a number of private equity firms, including Tiger Global and Andreessen Horowitz, and is expected to hit profitability by mid-2025.
Sylvia Zapata | La Causa
Nonprofit organization La Causa is saying goodbye to its long-time CFO, Sylvia Zapata, who is leaving after 39 years of service. La Causa was founded in 1972 as one of the first bilingual daycare centers in Milwaukee, and now features a charter school, social services, and crisis nursery. Zapata is succeeded by Aracelly Bonilla, who will take over the role on April 20.
Amy Osborne | Central New York Health Home Network
Healthcare organization Central New York Health Home Network has appointed Amy Osborne as its new finance chief. Osborne previously served as CFO of healthcare company Liberty ARC, and before that, Mountain Valley Hospice, where she served for nearly six years. CNYHHN provides health home care management to high-risk and high-need individuals.
