Michael Huseby has resigned as CFO of Charter Communications Inc. to take over as finance chief of Cablevision Systems Corp, according to Charter. For its part, however, Cablevision hasn’t acknowledged the hiring. Charter did not name a successor.
R. Stephen Barrett, Jr. plans to resign Sept. 1 as executive vice president and CFO of Whirlpool Corp., giving “a recent change in his family situation” as the reason. Barrett joined Whirlpool in 2002, following his retirement from Procter & Gamble Co. Roy Templin, the company’s controller was named to succeed Barrett. Before joining the appliance maker in 2003, Templin was vice president of finance and chief accounting officer for Kimball International, Inc., a manufacturer of furniture and contract electronic products.
Ted Dosch , vice president of finance and controller for Whirlpool’s North America region business region, will succeed Templin.
Keith Oliver, senior vice president of finance and administration of Chinadotcom Corp., will take over as CFO on Aug. 15. Oliver will replace Daniel Widdicombe, who resigned.
Oliver joined the Hong Kong-based computer-services company in January 2004 and has over 20 years of experience in financial management. He was CFO of Dentsu Young & Rubicam Asia for four years and spent 18 years with Philip Morris Asia, where he held a number of positions, including Regional Vice President, Finance. He was the CFO at the company’s parent prior to listing on NASDAQ, from 1997 to 1998.
Chinadotcom also appointed Divesh Sisodraker as president and chief executive officer of Pivotal Corp., its customer relationship management software division. He had been Pivotal’s CFO since October 2001.
Third Point Management Co., an alternative-investment firm with $1.3 billion in assets under management, named Jeffrey Trongone as chief operating officer. He has more than 20 years of experience in the finance and investment industry, including stints as CFO of JP Morgan’s asset-management business and chief financial and operating officer of Chancellor Capital Management.
Biovail Corp. named Charles Rowland as senior vice president and CFO. He succeeds Brian Crombie, who has been appointed senior vice-president, strategic development. Rowland joins will work at the company’s U.S. headquarters. He spent four years with Pharmacia Corp., where he was vice-president of finance and global supply.
Merrill Lynch & Co. elected Ann Reese to its board . She is the co-founder and co-executive director of the Center for Adoption Policy Studies and served as executive vice president and CFO of ITT Corp. from 1995 to 1998. She also serves on the boards of directors of Jones Apparel Group, Kmart Holding Corp. and Xerox Corp.
