- Hold the Gate Open: Pittsburgh, Penn.-based IGate Capital Corp., an Internet holding company specializing in E-business services, appointed Michael Zugay as CFO effective April 2, replacing Bruce Haney, who resigned to pursue other interests. Zugay had served an earlier tenure as IGate CFO from March 1995 to January 1998. He is currently the company’s managing director of corporate development.
- Will It Work? AppliedTheory Corp., a New York-based Internet service provider, named Angelo Gencarelli as CFO, replacing David Buckel, who left the company to pursue other opportunities. Gencarelli was formerly the company’s SVP. Prior joining AppliedTheory, he served as CFO of the Bess Eaton Donut Flour Company Inc. - What a Relief: Ergonomic computer support systems maker, CompX International Inc., announced that Stuart Bitting was named CFO, effective March 19. Before joining Dallas, Tex.-based CompX, Bitting served as CFO of LTC Group, a digital pre-media services company.
