Job Description

Position Summary


 


 


 


Oversee the development of the credit/collection strategies and implement plans to ensure accounts receivable balances are within stated objectives.  This position oversees two reimbursement locations.


 


 


 


Work Performed


 


 


 


Drive projects, process improvements and training to drive and support business goals and metrics; ensures the accurate, timely billing of accounts and compliance of all federal and state billing/collections requirements.


 


Direct accounts receivable activities within a geographic area to maximize reimbursements.


 


Acts as a Company liaison maintaining contact with regional public, government and private pay payers to resolve reimbursement issues; may represent company in outside public reimbursement meetings.


 


Ensure appropriate staff training, cross training, evaluate staff performance and approve hires, terminations, promotions and salary action.


 


Initiate meetings with senior management of external customers to establish mutually acceptable procedure and to resolve problems.


 


Develop strong relationships within Reimbursement, Care Centers, COD, Sales, Contracting, I.T. and Finance Management Teams to build strong relationships and would drive efficiencies in processing while minimizing DSO and adjustments/bad debt.  


 


Ensures timely communication of performance within Reimbursement and monitoring Medicare updates


 


Prioritizes initiatives based on strategic business goals.

Required Qualifications at this Level


 


 


 


Education/Training:


 


 


 


Four year degree in Business Administration; or two year Associates Degree with two years of previous management level experience in a medical billing/reimbursement business setting or four years of reimbursement management experience in a medical billing/reimbursement business setting may be substituted for lack of degree.


 


 


 


Experience:


 


 


 


Work requires five year minimum management level related business or administrative experience to acquire competence in applying general DME reimbursement principles, knowledge of insurance billing and collection procedures, process improvement, quality and training.
