Job description :

The Financial Controller will play a key role in the management team. This person will be a hands on Controller, but also key decision maker in driving the profitability of the business.

Key Responsibilities include:

Supervision and control of corporate accounting functions and month/year end closing processes.

Effective management of the accounting department ensuring that work load is distributed evenly and appropriately, all deadlines are met, and records maintained properly.

Communication on behalf of Company with governmental agencies, financial institutions, debtors, collection agencies, and accounting departments of vendors and clients.

Conducting internal audits; assistance and coordination of external audit

Tax planning

Tax filing supervision/preparation - depending on the level of expertise

Budgeting/forecasting, financial reporting and analysis, financial statement preparation

Assisting senior management with policy making, and ensuring compliance with companys rules and regulations pertaining to financials

Lead due diligence engagements related to acquisitions

Acting proactively in determining Companys accounting and financial objectives (both routine and strategic) and, upon approval of senior management, ensuring that all such objectives are met in a timely fashion.

Who we are looking for :

The ideal candidate for the Financial Controller position will possess the following characteristics:

CPA a must

MBA preferred

Demonstrated success as an important team leader and partner

A minimum of 8 years corporate Accounting experience required

Experience in the media/advertising industry is preferred

M&A experience required

Worked with investment banks raising capital

Strong leadership and communication skills including sharing ideas and information across diverse audiences and identities to drive business

Strong analytical and problem solving skills

Demonstrated attention to detail and accuracy

High proficiency in excel and accounting software required

Experienced in the preparation of advertising billing practices as well as established accounting practices.

Must possess strong communication and analytical skills, attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines

Whats on offer :

Base Salary of $120,000 - $140,000 (Competitive Benefits)
