New York City -Controller for Private Equity firm ---100k & bonus
The company is searching for a Corporate Controller with a background in real estate and a working knowledge of private equity fund

structures.

Responsibilities will include:
-         Construction and maintenance of fund-level waterfall models
-         Construction and maintenance of fund-level returns models
-         Calculation and execution of capital calls and distributions
-         Maintenance of investor capital balance schedules
-         Coordination with 3rd party accounting group for the preparation of quarterly un-audited financial statements
-         Review of quarterly financial statements
-         Coordination and execution of annual fund level audit
-         Review of annual fund audit
-         Investment fair market valuation using discounted cash flow models and other methodology
-         Review of various property audits and periodic financials
-         Correspondence with institutional investors in regards to:
-        Capital balance requests
-        Investment confirms
-        Distribution breakdown
-        Investment updates
-        Investment diversification updates
-        UBTI/ERISA issues
-        Tax estimates
-         Maintenance of investor contact database
-         Preparation of investor presentations
-         Participation of select asset management of real estate investments

Requirements
-         Minimum of five years experience with real estate and/or private equity accounting/audit
-         Highly proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
-         Must have the ability to construct and maintain complex fund level waterfall models in Excel
-         Superior writing skills
-         Working knowledge of mail merges
