Job Description

Key Responsibilities:  - Advise global businesses with respect to the US tax consequences of international transactions and business operations, including the acquisition and integration of both US and non-US companies- Research, recommend and implement international business plans and projects in a manner that minimizes Agilent’s domestic and international tax liability and/or effective tax rate- Work closely with the treasury department on global cash management- Provide technical tax support for domestic and international tax audit and compliance issues- Keep abreast of US and global international tax legislation, developments and practices Qualifications You will need a JD degree or equivalent and be licensed to practice law. Minimum 5-7 years experience, preferably with a mix of both international tax and M&A experience. LLM, MST or CPA a plus. Key Skills: - Strong communication skills and the ability to provide senior management with actionable advice with respect to complex tax issues- Ability to think strategically and to proactively identify, research, and resolve tax issues- Significant experience and expertise relating to Subpart F, dividend/repatriations and foreign tax credits- Solid project management skills and ability to successfully manage and prioritize multiple projects- Ability to successfully work with other corporate functions in the implementation of international business plans and projects  Houston, Texas based audit position requiring experience in Front, Middle and Back Office physical and financial gas trading operations. Should have knowledge and ability to apply audit concepts and risk based audit methodology. Under general supervision, performs audit projects and adds value by assessing project scope, making recommendations and writing audit reports. Will also perform Sarbanes-Oxley testing. Ability to work independently is a must.  Bachelors degree in Accounting required. Four to Six years of auditing experience preferred. Big 4 experience strongly desired. Physical and financial energy trading and operational knowledge strongly desired. General securities and financial services background is also a plus. Position responsibilities vary with level of experience. CPA certification strongly desired. Position Requires: 20 to 30% travel between Houston and headquarters in Florida, some overtime required.
