Job Description
Growing Bi-Coastal Top100 firm seeks a Senior Tax Manager in their Commercial Services division. This thriving firm is best known for its work in financial industries, but its broad range tax practice works with a variety of industries in New England/NYC area. This firm is over 50 years old and boasts nearly 1000 employees domestically and abroad.
Please review the responsibilities and requirements for this role in more detail below:
• Tax Related Responsibilities
o Research and consulting on complex tax matters.
o Review of tax returns.
o Communication with clients and maintenance of client relationships.
o Management, development, training and mentoring of staff and seniors.
o Tax planning with a wide variety of clients.
• General Responsibilities
o Oversee, train, and develop staff as well as provide informal and formal feedback regarding their performance.
o Review and maintain budgets.
o Keep partners updated about the status of the engagement.
o Maintain client relations.
o Answer various questions from staff that is working on engagements.
o Supervise client billing.
o Visit potential client sites for business proposals.
Education:
• Bachelors degree in accounting.
• Advanced degree in Taxation or J.D. or a CPA License.
• Bachelors degree and a CPA license is required or an MS in taxation.
Experience:
• Minimum of 6 Years in a Public Accounting environment.
• Experience in using tax preparation software.
