Job Description
Our client, a major international investment bank is seeking their AVP of internal audit. The AVP will function as the Auditor in charge for planning and supervising
Audit assignments.
Audit Management responsibilities:
- Manage, assist and complete audits within budgeted time and hours, including all deliverables in compliance with IAOA audit methodology
- Supervise assigned staff
- Communicate audit findings to the auditee and audit management
- Prepare draft of audit report and CAP
- Follow up on corrective action plans
Meet with auditee management to discuss risk and control environments
Audit Team Management and Development:
a. Coach and train audit staff as necessary
Provide feedback on staff performance upon completion of assignments and for the annual evaluation.
Audit Planning:
Assist in the development of the audit plan by providing input for Risk Assessments.
Participate in special projects at the request of the Chief Auditor.
Experience: 5-7 years experience in an accounting/auditing environment in a financial services firm and experience in the audit of capital markets products.
Education: College degree- accounting or finance
