This is a great opportunity for someone to join a stable firm which is looking to strengthen/build controls and add new staff. In this role, you will be responsible for: Month end close which includes journal entries and analysis and reconciliation of income statements and balance sheet accounts On a monthly basis, performing detailed analysis of the firms operational results Take the lead as it pertains to new technical accounting projects (i.e. new accounting pronouncements) Be proactive and responsive in assisting other departments in accounting matters (i.e. understanding results, assisting in departmental accounting issues) Lead/assist on various projects Who we are looking for :
Minimum of an Undergraduate degree in accounting 5-10 years of accounting experience; Financial services experience is preferred Public accounting experience, CPA preferred Working knowledge of monthly close process and procedures Experience with SOX control requirements Understanding of consolidation processes and procedures Experience with foreign operations and foreign currency issues preferred Experience in working with external auditors Strong verbal and written communication skills Strong data analysis skills/experience Experience with general ledger systems is a plus Whats on offer :
