Chinese Checking What companies really think about the wave of defective products from China.

Chinese Checking Article

Interesting article. Even my son (9 years old) gets intrigued that everything is made in China these days. It makes me think of the path that this country is taking. For me is not intriguing that almost everything these days is made in China, Mexico, or other countries, but the fact that the companies that are outsourcing so much don't have the same quality level they had years ago. prices are going up, quality is going down. But consumers are already brainwashed because they are made to believe that if they buy from Macy's, then they buy good quality product. The cruel reality is that the quality is not there any more. Prices are holding up though. Strongly too. If any of us still has pants that we bought 15 years ago, we all say that those old pants lasted longer (and still going) than a pair of pants bought couple of years ago.
Same thing with all the other products. Everything HAS to be leaner, more productive, less costly, so what the American companies do? Outsource everything. CEO's get richer, consumers get dumber. The new generation of consumers will not help either - they don't know any better. They are growing with this perception that is OK to pay $100.00 for a pair of snickers made in China, as long as they are labeled with a brand name.
Ha! What a joke.
