Without reporting requirements and controls XBRL will be a debacle that will give Machiavellian CEO's a very useful tool for disguising, hiding and ommitting key required disclosures. It will spawn disasters that will make Enron look small. Public markets need strict reporting to be protected -- the honor system is always applauded by criminals.
