We kept our match.

We chose to keep our safe harbor match and cut hours or wages/salaries when the recession hit. We do not have to pay payroll taxes and work comp on the match like we do on wages, so it seemed a bigger bang for our buck. While some employees cut back on their deferral amounts, no one dropped out of the plan.
