Looking forward to the read

I am looking forward to this book. The authors comments seem on target. i particuarly like the bread line analogy as that is what I have experienced myself. My own experience in the democratization process (tried a small experiment with this at a former company) is, in fact, in line with hers. The business unit with an 'assigned' IT resource actually ran afoul of the main strategy with conflicting technologies that could only be supported by adding resources. I sometimes am glad that the bread line slows down the pace of projects because many of them aren't well-justified before they get in line!
