As a "up and comer" this article certainly points to things that are easy to struggle with in my opinion. Namely learning to delegate and relying on the staff in order to focus on value add and driving buisiness improvement both internally and externally (haven't made it to the external customer focus yet but intend to). One learns you have to delegate as there isn't time to do everything but of course that is challenging in these economic times when cost cutting including finance costs are top priority.
