Nice Article ... but you forgot one Big Change!: Thank you for your article!

However, you omit mentioning the recasting of US GAAP which is almost upon us.

Whether we finally ?Converge? with IFRS in 2014 or later, as it stands right now, we are all about to be hit by a massive change ... and the change is named Codification!

I still feel that most professionals are still unaware of the extent of these changes and may well be stunned to learn of the complete reconstituting of US GAAP, which is scheduled to take effect in July 2009!

I may look back and feel that I have been an alarmist, but I am amazed at how this is running under the radar and is viewed as only an academic undertaking.
