The paragraph outlining the three pronged approach of a finely tuned strategy, clear leadership and regular two way communication between managers and staff is crucial for succeeding in for profit and non profit organizations as well. I have been with companies followed or disregarded these standards. The ones that don't heed them will be characterized by turnover and low morale.
