I would add that networking and branding are long?term strategies as well as short?term strategies.
Since the average tenure of a senior?finance executive is three years, it is critical to have a business plan for your career and to manage your career as if it is ?your business? (because it is). Creating ongoing, branded visibility within your target market, while you are employed, will bring great opportunities your way and facilitate a seamless transition ? as ?job searching? is eliminated from your vocabulary.
