Wondering how you can cut back on your auditing costs? If you work for a nonprofit, you may be in luck.
Deloitte & Touche will give away $50 million worth of its services for free over the next three years. The catch: the pro bono work is for nonprofits only.
James Quigley, CEO of Deloitte Touche Tahmatsu, announced the pledge during the Summit on Corporate Volunteerism in New York City on Wednesday morning. The event aims to expand volunteering and pro bono services that corporate employees give to nonprofits and organizations.
Deloitte has set up a separate budget to handle its pro bono program, which will focus on nonprofits’ business and operational issues. “Deloitte is … delivering world-class counsel and services to build critical operating capacity for the nonprofit organizations with whom we work,” said Evan Hochberg, national director of community involvement for Deloitte Services LP.
At the nonprofit College Summit, Deloitte consultants have created a reporting warehouse for free. The project helped the organization, which helps put low-income students into college, save time in its analysis of which of its programs are effective.
More than 150 corporate, government, and nonprofit leaders were scheduled to participate in Wednesday’s event, accompanied by Department of Labor Secretary Elaine Chao.
